My brother and I grew up with abuse, and we’ve each spent a lifetime finding ways to manage the trauma it left behind. We came through the same childhood, but we handle chaos very differently. Each of us has found his own ways to overcome it.

This song grew from recognizing those differences and wanting to share what we’ve learned with each other later in life. Maybe something that helped one of us can help the other find a little more peace.
